Eagle Scout Process
The Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook, commonly referred to as a Life to Eagle packet is available on-line and can be downloaded at www.nesa.org/trail. Please encourage your Life Scouts to download theirs today!
Remember that scouts are not to begin work on their Eagle projects until the planning portion and signature process is complete. Four specific signatures are required. Scouts should contact Mike Grofik 768-2452 for District Advancement signature prior to the start of their project.
Unit Advancement Chairmen should contact Jim Breitmeier at 723-3606 to schedule a District Advancement Committee member attending an Eagle Board of Review. An extra copy of the Eagle project packet needs to be turned in at all Eagle Boards of Review. The Advancement Committee reviews these packets and selects three projects to go forward to Council to compete annually for an NESA award.
Merit Badge Counselors
Remember that paperwork, counselors. To become a Merit Badge
Counselor, a leader must complete two forms. The first is an adult application.
All signatures must be completed on the form, including Jim Breitmeier’s
signature. All blanks need to be completed. The second form is the Merit
Badge Counselor form. Both of these forms get sent to Jim Breitmeier,
NOT to Council. The Council just returns these
forms to the District so they can be sent to Jim. Jim Breitmeier can be
reached at 321-723-3606, jimb1964@cfl.rr.com.
Woodbadge
Woodbadge Training for Leaders. All Adult leaders should strive to attend this two-weekend
course. Leadership and teambuilding are the two main concepts. The whole
team needs to be included.
